Debra Jo Lents (Stanley) peacefully passed May 30th 2026 at the age of 67 in Fairborn, OH. She was born May 26th 1959 to Betty and Bill Stanley in Fairmont, WV, a place she would forever call "home." She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her "favorite and much older" brother, John Stanley (wife April), special niece Caitlin, and "her babies", cousins Dar and Char, who loved on her right until the very end.

After the family relocated to Ohio, Debbi (with no "e," as she knew early on that she wanted to be unique) started grade school and began collecting friends. One of the most rewarding parts of life to her was friendship and she put a lot of effort towards maintaining relationships over the years. She felt lucky to spend the last weeks of her life being visited and cared for by so many special people. She was preceded in death by her lifelong friend, David Dunlosky (wife Linda), and is survived by the rest of her group from growing up: "the lifers", including her BFF of 50-plus years, Carol Rich (husband Greg).

As an adult, she continued collecting friends through her lengthy career at UBS under the world’s best boss, Shaun Nicholson. She will be missed by many former coworkers/current friends, including Joan Faulkner and Sherry Caldwell.

She spent the last few decades as part of yet another friend group, with whom she enjoyed countless parties, events, dinners, and girls' weekends. Her "emotional support human" Holly Banford was ever-present and supportive every step of the way. Debbi's second-favorite daughter, cat Stella, appreciates Holly's frequent visits as well.

The day her daughter Megan was born, she jumped to the top of Deb's long list of people she loved and stayed right there. The two enjoyed a lifetime of road trips, concerts (when they were allowed in), movies, love, laughter, and so much more. She will be desperately missed every minute of every day by her "best girl".

We remember Deb fondly every time we listen to the Grateful Dead or Todd Rundgren, every time we work in the garden or watch football, basketball, the Olympics, bull riding, Formula 1, or old movies. She had a special place in her heart for greyhounds (she was also preceded in death by the best boy, if not the fastest boy, Jeremy).
