HAUK, Derrick Edward “Shorty”, age 57, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 at his residence. Derrick was a member of Greater Love Christian Church, Amvets Post 99; a 1985 Graduate of Meadowdale High School, and was a machine operator.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Mary Hauk & daughter, Haley Nicole.  Derrick is survived by his wife, Patricia; son, Joey Smith; step children, Jay, Jarrod; & Serenty Faith; and a host of family and friends.  Funeral Service Noon Monday, December 4, 2023 at Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike with Pastor K.L. Smith officiating.  Interment Shiloh Park Cemetery.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11 AM until service.
