SIMONE, Father Earl Francis, age 84, of Fairborn, passed away Monday, August 4, 2025. He served the U.S. Marine Corps and Naval Services, retiring in 1992. He spent many years assigned to Marine units in Okinawa and participated in Desert Shield/Storm. Earl served as Catholic Chaplain Sixth Fleet, Allied Forces South (NATO.) He was ordained on June 11, 1977 by Cardinal Joseph Bernadin at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains, Cincinnati. He served 3 years as Associate Pastor at Saint Teresa the Little Flower in Springfield and 23 years as Pastor of Saint Peter in Huber Heights. Earl was awarded several Masters Degrees including Systematic Theology, Education Administration and Public Administration. He is survived by his 2 brothers, many nieces and nephews and other relatives & friends.
Reception of the body will take place at 11:00 AM Friday, August 22, 2025 at Emmanuel Catholic Church, 149 Franklin Street.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 PM Friday, August 22, 2025 at the Emmanuel Catholic Church with Father John MacQuarrie celebrant. Internment Evergreen Cemetery, Streetsboro, Ohio.
