COX, Helen “Jean," age 82, of Huber Heights, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 18, 2022. Jean was born in Clay County, Kentucky, and attended Berea College Foundation School in Berea, Kentucky. She later settled in Dayton, Ohio, where she excelled at a profession she loved as a premier Furniture Sales and Design professional at Elder-Beerman’s furniture showroom in Centerville, Ohio. She retired from Elder Beerman after almost 40 years there. Jean is preceded in death by her father, Hobert Bargo, mother, Cleda Smith, and brother Daryl W. Bargo. She is survived by daughters Diana L. Steele and Rhedonda J. Cox of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Donald J. Bargo of Indianapolis, Indiana; Ronnie G. Bargo of Annville, Kentucky; two sisters, Betty L. Richey, and Candie S. Caine of Indianapolis Indiana; two grandchildren, Rhett A. and Rheilyn J. Cox- Rodabaugh; and many beloved friends and relatives.
Funeral service will be held on 1:30 PM Friday, December 30, 2022 at Marker & Heller Funeral Homes, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike with Pastor Brian Underwood officiating. Interment Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:30 PM until service time at the funeral home.
