HAUBROCK, James G. “Jim”, age 68, of Centerville, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025. Jim was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 14, 1956 to Glenn and Carole Haubrock. He was the loving husband of Matina “Tina” Haubrock for 46 years; the wonderful father to Michael (Amanda) Haubrock and Christina (Socrates) Manuel; beloved Papou (grandfather) to Demetri and Yianni Haubrock and Sophia Manuel. Jim was the caring brother to Robert “Bob” Haubrock; his sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Pres. Cynthia Milanese & Rev. Fr. Frank Milanese, Kathy & Jim Gelis. He is survived by nephews, Tim Haubrock, Stephen Haubrock, Danny Haubrock, Christopher Milanese and Matthew Milanese; nieces, Anna Wright, Madeline Sideris; and Godchildren, Gregory Mollica, Brian McFadden and Anna Zeilman; whom he loved very much.
Jim was a trusted CPA and retired shareholder at Clark Schaefer, Hackett & Co. He served as president of Ohio Society CPA and was Chair of the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Executive Committee. Jim lived a life of faith as he was an active member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, where he served on the Parish Council. He served on multiple occasions for a total of 6 years as Parish Council President, helped establish and serve as President on The Annunciation Investment Fund, Co-chair of the 75th and 100th Anniversary Galas and was a faithful volunteer at the Greek Festival each year. Not only did he make an impact in the Dayton Greek Community, but he also was a member of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese and Metropolis Finance Committees. Jim was an Eagle Scout and a longtime member of the Boy Scouts of America. He served as president of A Special Wish Foundation and, among other things, was a Treasurer of the Yankee Trace HOA for many years. Jim was a dedicated Reds and Bengals fan, enjoyed visiting Hilton Head Island, and watching any episode of M*A*S*H. May his memory be eternal and his positive impact be his legacy.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, August 14, 2025 at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 500 Belmonte Park North with Rev. Fr. Anthony Cook, Rev. Fr. Frank Milanese, Rev. Fr. Stratton Dorozenski and Rev. Fr. Mark Emroll, officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. The family will greet friends and celebrate his life from 4 to 6 PM on Wednesday, August 13 and Thursday, August 14 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 500 Belmonte Park North.
