Maxine Rhinehart Obituary

Maxine Rhinehart, age 82, of Huber Heights, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital surrounded by her family. Maxine worked for a number of years at Schweller Tool and Die and at Frigidaire Co. both in Dayton, Ohio, and as a homemaker raising five children. She was a longtime member of The Pentecostals of Dayton. She served with grace and distinction in a number of capacities over the years including youth leader, women’s director, choir director, and as the Ohio District ALJC secretary/treasurer for the Women’s Esprit. She was loved by everyone. She was a loving pastor’s wife and bishop’s wife for forty years. Maxine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Wylie G. Rhinehart, Sr. her parents William and Betty Brown, two sisters, Wilma Mayme (Janie), and Mary Olive; six brothers, Jackie William, Glen Arnold, George Russell, Ernest (Clell), David Cole, and Johnny Carl (Hop) Brown. She is survived by three daughters, Paula Ivey, Regina (Marty) Rowe, Belinda Gifford; sons, Wylie G. Jr. (Karen) Rhinehart, John J. (Melisa) Rhinehart; 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, one brother Gary Beldon Brown, and one sister Nancy Sue; and many other relatives & friends.

Funeral service 6 PM Monday, January 15, 2024 at The Pentecostals of Dayton, 168 Avondale Drive with Pastors Wylie & John Rhinehart officiating.  The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 PM until service time at the church. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 11 AM. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Marker & Heller Funeral Homes, Huber Heights Chapel.
