KATZ, Raymond William, 74 years old, left this world July 8, 2026, in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he resided for forty (40) plus years.  Raymond graduated from Meadowdale High School in 1970 and continued his education at the University of Dayton, graduating in 1974 with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and Sculpture.  In addition to perfecting his passion for art, he attended (1970-1971) Hobart School of Welding majoring in Sculpture and other specialized classes. 

After his education, he became known in his field as a metal sculpturer. Through the years he transitioned his passion into a unique business in which he was hired to consult regarding the maintenance of many fine sculpture collections owned by well-known art enthusiasts.  Alongside a successful career in Fine Arts, Raymond was a dedicated philanthropist. 

Raymond was a dear friend and confidant to many friends, artists, stockbrokers and even attorneys.   He enjoyed going to dinner with friends and flying to Philadelphia to watch the Philadelphia Flyers hockey games.  He was very warm and loving to those closest to him.  One friend mentioned that Raymond quit his job in the 80’s, flew across the country to help a friend in need.  He had no hesitation with the request.

He was preceded in death, by loving parents, Leonard and Florence Katz.  Leonard passed in 2014 and Florence passed in 2001.

Raymond requested to have a Jewish graveside service (levayah) in Dayton, Ohio, with arrangements provided by Marker and Heller Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Beth Abraham Cemetery, 1817 West Schantz Avenue with Rabbi Aubrey Glazer officiating.
