Richard Frederick Van Dorpe

Van Dorpe, Richard Frederick, age 80, of Huber Heights, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Soin Medical Center.  Richard was a retired Mechanical Engineer with BF Goodrich, a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, volunteer Fireman & EMT for Wayne Twp., a member of Knights of Columbus Council #4424, an avid golfer, bowler, and gardener.  Richard is survived  by his wife, Ellen M; daughters & sons-in-law, Karyn & Daniel Terpstra and Janet & Aron Wilms; son & daughter-in-law, Bruce & Connie Van Dorpe; sisters, Patricia Schlegel and Carol Hardenbrook; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.  Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM  Saturday, June 24, 2023 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6161 Chambersburg Rd. with Father John Van Dorpe, LC.  Interment at Calvary Cemetery.  Family will receive friends at the Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 6-8 PM.  Memorial Contributions may be made to Legionaries of Christ, Atlanta Community https://regnumchristi.tfaforms.net/4690533?caid=7011R000001SnqhQAC in Richard’s memory.
