CORNWELL, Roger “RC”, of Dayton, passed away on July 29, 2025, at the age of 81.  Born on January 18, 1944 in Wilmington, Ohio, Roger lived a life marked by individuality, quiet strength and a deep connection to those he held dear.

Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Cornwell.  In later years, he shared his life with his devoted partner, Cindy Blore.  Together they built a loving home filled with warmth and companionship.

Known affectionately as “RC”, Roger had a personality all his own.  He found peace and satisfaction in the simple pleasures of life, especially mowing on his John Deere Tractor.  He had a passion for collecting wolf memorabilia and was an avid fan of professional wrestling.  These hobbies reflected both his appreciating for nature’s wild spirit and his enjoyment of bold entertainment.

He was a proud father figure to his chosen daughters, Mandy (James) Price and Kelly Blore.  His legacy continues through his grandchildren-Cassidy (Preston) Barnhart, Caden Kincaid, Carson Kincaid, Haley Johnson and Calista Price- and great grandchildren- Brantley Barnhart, Blayze Barnhart, Braxxtyn Barnhart and Brysyn Barnhart, each of whom brought him immense joy. 

Roger also held a special place in his heart for his sisters-in-law, Gayle Hicks and Barbara Craft and their families.

Those who knew Roger remember him as a very unique man who touched many lives.  His presence left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate to know him.  He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Private services.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton in honor of the care and compassion they provided.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Marker & Heller Funeral Homes.
