Ryan Patrick McCormick Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Ryan P. McCormick, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, and loyal friend on May 4, 2026. He is survived by his loving wife, Heather; mother & father, Sandra & Joseph Gebele; daughters, Tahler Robbins (Zac Dicken), and Cara McCormick; sons, Evan & Collin McCormick; brothers, Joe (Tonia) & Scott (Stephanie) Gebele; grandson, Cameron; and many other relatives & friends
Ryan grew up in Huber Heights, attended Wayne High School and was a proud 1992 graduate. It was there where Ryan gained the friends he would support endlessly, make countless memories with, and keep for his lifetime. Ryan loved athletics, playing and coaching basketball and soccer with his sons and daughters. His true love was football which provided his family many exciting stories.
After Ryan graduated, he attended college until he met his beautiful wife, Heather. Together, they started a family by raising their daughter, Tahler. Years later, they welcomed a son, Evan, and quickly after, twins Collin and Cara.
The nearly 29 years Ryan and Heather spent together were quite the adventure. There was endless work, kids’ activities, and chaos but through it all, Ryan’s stability remained. As the family’s rock he never wavered, and was always there for love, support, and endless advice. His love and dedication to his family was unparalleled and inspiring.
Throughout Ryan’s 51 years, he never stopped learning. He could always be caught studying videos about learning a new trade or picking up a new hobby. One of his proudest accomplishments was getting a Computer Science Degree well into adulthood. He continued to learn all he could about being a software engineer, which was a true passion of his since he was a young boy.
Though his absence leaves an immeasurable void, Ryan’s legacy of love , laughter, and compassion will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and love him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Monday, May 18, 2026 at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father Kyle Schnippel celebrant. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 PM at Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike.
