SOPER, Shirley Jean, age 90, of Huber Heights, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Ohio Masonic Home.  Shirley was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church and Eastern Star.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ivan J.; parents, William & Lillian West; 5 sisters & 4 brothers.  Shirley is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Ivan & Margaret, Jon & Janis, Jeffrey & Ella; foster son, Rick & Linda Weiss; grandchildren, Carol, Rebecca, Karen, Ivan, Angela, Anna; 9 great-grandchildren; nieces, Shirley Jean Williams, Bernedette Hendrix; host of other nieces & nephews, and many other relatives & friends. 

Funeral service 10:00 AM Thursday, August 21, 2025 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 5040 Rye Drive with Rev. Mathew Franke officiating.  Interment Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-7 PM at Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Shirley’s memory.
