MORRIS, Tommy Ray, age 87, of Huber Heights, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026.  Tommy was born in Keokee, VA, on January 20, 1939, to Coy and Lilian (Snodgrass) Morris, and he moved to Dayton in 1958.  Tommy had seven siblings - Phyllis, Coy Jr, Elaine, Brenda, Joanne, Alex and Greg. He is preceded in death by his spouse of almost 56 years, Shirley Ann (Parrett).  Tommy leaves behind his son, Chris; daughter-in-law, Tricia; granddaughter, Emma; and many other relatives and friends.

Tommy worked for Bonded Oil, then Top Value, and retired from Delco Moraine in 1999 after 22 years.  Known for his strong work ethic, he never shied away from hard work.  He found his greatest joys in simple pleasures - long summer days on the softball field, tending to his garden, crisp mornings hunting with his brothers and son, and a friendly game of cards.  A natural storyteller, Tommy had a collection of well-loved jokes that he told time and time again. Though the punchlines were familiar, his delivery never failed to bring laughter. He had a gift for lifting spirits and making people feel at ease, a trait that endeared him to all who knew him.

He had a special place in his heart for his beloved beagles, especially Molly, who was his constant companion and brought him endless comfort and joy.  Above all else, Tommy cherished his family. They were the center of his world, and his granddaughter was the light of his life.  He will be remembered for his laughter, his love, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, who will forever carry his humor, warmth, and love with them.

Funeral service will be 11 AM Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike with Pastor Dan Powell officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20 from 5-7pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SICSA.org in Tommy's memory.
