BROOKS, Tulla G. (Vavul), age 98, of Dayton, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023 at The Hospice of Dayton. Tulla was a member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Philoptochas Society, GAPA and former Treasurer. She modeled in Dallas, Texas for many years, was a Department Manager at EF McDonald and worked in inventory control at Corporate Connection.
Tulla was preceded in death by her husbands, Eldron Brooks & James Theo; sister & brother-in-law, Sue & Ted Ensley. She is survived by her daughters, Maria Theo Waddell of IN, Stefani Theo of TX, and Michele Gwinn (Jonathan Williams) of TN; brothers, William & Andrew Vavul, both of Dayton; grandchildren, Benjamin Waddell, Nicholas Gwinn, Chelsea (Blake) Dalhgren, Christopher Gwinn, Alexandra Tolson (Mark), Joseph (Nikki) Tolson; great-grandchildren, Emma Waddell, Noah Mogle, Theodore Gwinn, Micah Mogle, Ezra Mogle, Max Gwinn; great-great-grandchildren, Jace, Myles, Wyatt and Mayah; and many other relatives & friends.
Funeral service 11 AM Thursday, June 1, 2023 at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 500 Belmonte Park North with Father Anthony Cook officiating. Entombment Woodland Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 AM until service time at the church. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Memorial Fund or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Tulla’s memory.
