KILGORE, William Earl, age 85, of Medway, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Veterans Affairs Hospice. William worked in Assembly for NCR for 17 years and was a foundary worker at Durion, retiring after 27 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and graduated from Northridge High School, class of 1956. William was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean; parents, William & Louisa Kilgore; sisters, Doris Gardiner, Louise Smart, Edith Marcum; step-daughter, Marlene Winteregg. He is survived by his daughters & sons-in-law, Jani & Tony Rice, Jeni & Sean Smith; son & daughter-in-law, James “Jim” & Laura Kilgore; step-children, Leisha (David) Wright, Mark (Tiffany) Kimmel, Paul (Laura) Kimmel; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; 20 step-grandchildren; numerous step-great-grandchildren and many other relatives & friends.
Funeral service 12:30 PM Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike. Interment Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:30 AM until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oncology Department at Dayton Childrens Medical Center in William’s memory.
